Bunion-friendly shoes now available in a unique venue
New Balance will now offer its bunion-accommodating shoes at its first North American Experience Store in New York City.
Individuals with bunions may want to consider making a trip to New York City's Flatiron District, since New Balance recently opened a retail shop there that includes a running track and demonstration area where employees can show customers what goes into making a sneaker.
The opening of the 4,000-square foot store also marks the brand's 105th anniversary.
"This store invites consumers from one of the world's greatest cities to engage with our brand's story and the passion of our associates that is 105 years in the making," said New Balance CEO Rob DeMartini.
The brand is one of the few that manufactures stylish athletic footwear made especially for individuals with bunions. The shoes feature mesh panels on the inner edge to leave ample room for the bony deformity.
