WikiFashionista plans series on shoe trends

Individuals willing to endure foot pain and bunions for the sake of fashion may be interested in WikiFashionista's new feature.

WikiFashionista plans series on shoe trends Retailer Shiekh Shoes is teaming up with resource site WikiFashionista to produce a series of videos offering advice and tips on building a complete, stylish shoe wardrobe.

The first in the series, hosted by Canadian actress Sarah Power, was posted recently and covers shoe closet staples.

In the webisode, Power learns from an expert that a nude wedge and a showstopping pair of heels are necessary components of any fashionable woman's wardrobe.

Next, the actress will talk to guests about summer sandals, warm weather heels and pumps, flip flops and gladiator sandals, as well as a preview of fall collections.

Anyone who stocks their closets with towering platforms, stilettos or strappy wedges may be putting themselves at risk for developing bunions or hammer toe, since such footwear has been known to exacerbate the conditions.

Luckily, bunion splints or orthotics may be able to help prevent or correct bunions or hammer toe without the need for bunion surgery.
