Middleton's wedding dress, shoes to be displayed at Buckingham Palace
The Princess of Cambridge's wedding garb - including bunion-inducing heels - will be on exhibit for the public to view.
Kate Middleton is quickly becoming one of the most influential fashion icons of modern day, drawing praise from magazines and bloggers around the world for her chic wedding gown and floating around effortlessly in shoes that would give some other women bunions and foot pain.
Now, as of July 23, fans of the princess can visit Buckingham Palace to lay their eyes on her Alexander McQueen gown and shoes, as well as her diamond earrings and a replica of the wedding cake, reports ThirdAge.com
“The Duchess chose British brand Alexander McQueen for the beauty of its craftsmanship and its respect for traditional workmanship and the technical construction of clothing,” said the Royal Collection Press Office, quoted by the source.
A blog post on the New York Magazine website confirms that Middleton has become a style icon - though not necessarily a fashion plate - for her ability to look effortless and conservative, even in pointy toed stilettos.
