Bunions won't stop Amy Adams in Superman film
Amy Adams to play Lois Lane in new Superman flick
Despite reports of the actresses bunions, Amy Adams has been having a great year as evidenced by her Oscar-nominated performance in hit film The Fighter and the recent announcement that she will co-star alongside Henry Cavill in an upcoming incarnation of Superman.
Additionally, she is slated to headline in a Muppets movie to be released later this year.
"For us it was a big thing and obviously a really important role. We did a lot of auditioning but we had this meeting with Amy Adams and after that I just felt she was perfect for it," said Superman director Zack Snyder, quoted by The Los Angeles Times.
Adams' IMDB page reports that prior to getting her break in 1999's Drop Dead Gorgeous, she was a professional theatre dancer in Minneapolis. It's been uphill for Adams since then, but her stint as a dancer was likely responsible for her reported bunions.
Luckily, Adams should be able to play Lois Lane without a hitch, since bunion splints and orthotics have been shown to help correct bunions without the need for bunion surgery, which can require weeks - if not months - for recovery.
