Dancing With the Stars cast can avoid bunions

New cast of Dancing With the Stars announced

Dancing With the StarsABC announced its new cast for season 12 of Dancing With the Stars, and it includes a boxer, a rapper, a Disney star and one of Hugh Hefner's former girlfriends.

The popular show has a tendency to stir controversy due to its odd mix of celebrity wanna-be dancers and professionals. The fist episode will air March 21, when viewers will get a chance to see the chemistry between the new cast members and perhaps a peek into what's to come.

Among female celebrities, the new cast will include actress Kirstie Alley, Playboy Playmate Kendra Wilkinson, talk show host Wendy Williams, model Petra Nemcova and Disney actress Chelsea Kane.

Male stars will include rapper Romeo, boxer Sugar Ray Leonard, the original star of Karate Kid Ralph Macchio, wrestler Chris Jericho, football player Hines Ward and Mike Catherwood, host of Loveline.

While the cast members have all gained their celebrity status in very different ways, they may soon all have one thing in common: bunions or hammer toe.

Bunion splints help avoid bunion surgery

Previous cast members like Kelly Osbourne have reported foot pain due to the strenuous dancing and training the stars must endure. Luckily, they will be able to dance their hearts out without fear of painful bunion surgery since many podiatrists say conditions like bunion or hammer toe may be prevented or corrected with the use of bunion splints or orthotics.
