Stylish feet walk the runway at Paris Fashion Week
Givenchy came out in class with some lady-like floral pumps with delicate straps, while Christian Dior went hardcore with towering platforms embellished with snakeskin straps, and Jean-Charles de Castelbajac kept it simple yet fresh with gold knee-high stiletto boots at the recently held Paris Fashion Week.
Not all of the footwear presented included towering heels - there were many low heels and flats to be gazed at - but the ones that are getting people talking are the foot pain-inducing pumps and stilettos.
The Alexander McQueen creations looked more like sculptures than footwear, and Stella McCartney did what she does best: Simple, modern elegance with a bit of an edge.
Fashionistas lining up to see the newest styles from the world's best designers were likely taking notes on what to buy to supplement their spring wardrobes. Those who exclusively wear such high heels may end up having to add other items to their shopping lists: bunion splints or orthotics.
Regular stress on the toes and ball of the foot may lead to painful, unsightly conditions like bunions or hammer toe. Fortunately, bunion surgery is not always necessary as bunion splints and orthotics may effectively prevent or treat the conditions.
