Bunion sufferers beware: Payless launches summer collection

Payless ShoeSource announces a wide array of summer accessories at inexpensive prices.

Trendy shoes may lead to foot problemsPayless ShoeSource, purveyor of trendy, inexpensive footwear, has announced that its summer collection will be filled with strappy sandals, espadrilles, gladiator sandals, platform wedges and embellished flip flops, in addition to a bevy of hats, sunglasses and handbags.

The bargain shop will also feature lines from New York designers like Christian Siriano, Lela Rose and Silvia Tcherassi, a newcomer to the fashion world.

"A mixture of popular silhouettes, splashes of color, rich materials, embellished details and fresh fragrances make our summer collection a standout for women who want to enhance their individual style with special pieces at a great value," said LuAnn Via, President and CEO of Payless ShoeSource.

It's clear that any fashionista will surely find something to suit them at the store this summer, but they may find something a little unexpected after wearing the footwear regularly: bunions or hammer toe.

High heels and inexpensive footwear have been known to exacerbate bunions or hammer toe, since they often have poor arch support. Luckily, bunion splints or orthotics may help to prevent or correct bunions or hammer toe without the need for painful bunion surgery.
