Christian Louboutin wants to cause foot pain

High heels with signature red sole can lead to foot problems

Christian Louboutin red sole shoesIn a New York Magazine article, shoe designer Christian Louboutin talks about his hatred of comfort, love of taxidermy - especially a cougar named Sweet Demi - and how he will never design a shoe without his signature red sole.

The writer visited Louboutin at his tropical home where he boasted about being a school-skipping rebel in his youth and how clogs may be the downfall of sexiness.

“I hate the whole concept of the clog! It’s fake, it’s ugly, and it’s not even comfortable! And I hate the whole concept of comfort!" the designer told the news source.

Also among the designer's grievances are shoes with soft soles that mold to the foot and overly ladylike footwear.

Those who share Louboutin's views may soon experience something more severe than foot pain, namely bunions or hammer toe.

Towering heels like the ones crafted by Louboutin have been known to cause bunions or hammer toe due to the narrow toes, intense pressure put on the ball of the foot and lack of arch support.

Luckily, fashionistas may be able to prevent or correct these foot conditions with bunion splints or orthotics, avoiding the need for painful bunion surgery.
